Oh, Lorraine. Her story hasn't been written yet. But we meet her in an upcoming anthology, or collection of short, related stories, that is due for publication by Unsolicited Press in 2026.

For now, it is called "The Burntwood Anthology."

This song is from Burdock's perspective. The bitter, dejected widower of Lorraine. I feel like this is a song from a time when the relationship was a bit more loving and less sour. Before the pumpkins took over.

I'm not sure if it is totally accurate, but the pain is. He tried to love her. She tried to love him. They fought. They laughed. It was a small town marriage both simple and complex.
